“The aim of the Society is to support primary care health professionals to deliver high-quality clinically effective care, in order to improve the lives of people living with diabetes”
The Need for the PCDSA
There are over one million people in Australia who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The majority of these people will receive their health care in the primary care setting. Australia has a number of organisations representing parts of the diabetes therapeutic community; all are vitally important in their own right but none represent the multidisciplinary nature of diabetes in primary care.
Aims of the PCDSA
The overarching mission of the PCDSA is to support primary health care professionals to deliver high-quality clinically effective care, in order to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.
